What to Expect
Before the Inspection
Your inspector may send you a link to fill in your personal information, the property address, and any relevant details. This form helps them prepare for the inspection.
You may also receive a service agreement to review and sign electronically before the inspection begins.
During the Inspection
A typical residential inspection takes 2-4 hours depending on the property size. The inspector will examine:
- Structural components (foundations, walls, roof structure)
- Exterior (cladding, windows, doors, drainage)
- Roofing
- Plumbing systems
- Electrical systems
- Heating and cooling
- Interior (walls, floors, stairs)
- Insulation and ventilation
- Safety systems (smoke alarms, egress)
After the Inspection
Within a few days, you’ll receive an email with a link to your report package. This typically includes:
- The inspection report — Detailed findings with photos
- An invoice — If applicable
- Any attached documents
