Available variables in email templates
Quote and invoice email templates support variables in {{ Name }} format that are automatically replaced with the right values at send time. This page lists the observed variables and how they resolve.
How to insert a variable

In the editor (Business Configuration > Quote & Invoice), place the cursor at the desired location and use the { } button in the toolbar to open the list of variables. Select the one you need — Lumos inserts it as a colored chip.
You can also type {{ Name }} directly if you know the exact name, but the button guarantees that you use valid names.

Other variables may be available depending on your Lumos version. Check the { } button in the editor for the current list.
When a variable has no value
If a variable is used in the template but the corresponding data has not been entered (for example {{ Inspection Time }} when the time has not been specified), Lumos may produce an empty string at send, which can yield malformed text like “on, please find attached…”.
Best practices:
- Enter all essential information about the inspection before sending (date, time, total).
- Re-read the email preview at Step 2 before clicking Send.
- Adjust the text if a variable produces an unexpected result.
Variables and language
The template is defined per language (French or English via the tabs at the top). Variables that produce text (for example the standard’s name) reflect the template’s language if the data is translated. For factual values (address, amounts, dates), Lumos uses the format appropriate to the language.
