Navigating the bank
With several hundred narratives at your disposal, efficient navigation is essential. Lumos combines filters and semantic search so you find the right narrative quickly.
Filters
The bank page (/narratives-bank) shows a filter bar at the top.
Inspection type
- All (default)
- Pre-purchase — BNQ narratives for existing properties
- Pre-handover — NBC / GCR narratives for new buildings (visible if you have enabled the Pre-handover template, see The two banks)
Domain
The main filter to target a theme. The available Domains are numerous and cover the entire building: Access, Accessibility, Appliances, Attic, Auxiliary heating, Basement, Commercial, Common issues, Electrical, Environment, Exterior, Fire protection, Fixtures, Garage, HVAC, Insulation, Interior, Plumbing, Pool, Roofing, Safety, Septic tank, Site, Structure, Apartment / Unit, Ventilation, Vertical transport, Doors and windows.
The All option does not filter.
Category
Depending on product evolution, this filter may refine Domains into sub-categories.

Semantic search
The search bar in the bank’s header accepts natural language queries. Lumos understands the intent of your search and surfaces relevant narratives even if exact words are not in the title.
For example, typing “basement infiltration” will surface narratives about foundation cracks, weeping tiles, deteriorated stucco, and basement humidity, even if none of those titles contain the word “infiltration”.
Semantic search combines well with filters: start by filtering by Domain if you know where to look, then refine by keywords.
Narrative card
Each narrative shown in the list displays:
- The title of the narrative
- A breadcrumb Domain > Component (e.g. Structure > Foundation)
- The text of the narrative (first lines or full content depending on display)
- A Type badge (Information, Limitation, Deficiency, Method)
- A Source badge (Lumos Bank, [Your Business] Bank, Private)
- An Inspection type badge (Pre-purchase, Pre-handover)
Pagination
The list is paginated (for example 37 pages in the demo account). The Previous / Next buttons at the bottom allow navigation.
