Inspections list

The Inspections tab is your main entry point in Lumos Capture . It is where you find your day’s inspections before going on site, and where you start your captures on location. This page describes its organization and visual indicators.

The overview

When you open Lumos Capture, the Inspections tab shows by default:

  • Header: title Inspections + sync indicator on the right (green dot + “Synced” text when everything is up to date).
  • Date sections: your inspections grouped by day, from most relevant to oldest.
  • Inspection cards: one card per inspection in each section.

The display is instant — no spinners, data comes from local storage. Sync with the server happens in the background.

Date organization

Inspections are grouped in this order:

  • Today’s inspection(s) — those of the current day.
  • Next day (e.g. “Friday May 8, 2026”) — to prepare ahead.
  • Previous days (“Wednesday May 6, 2026”, “Tuesday May 5, 2026”…) — to finalize captures and reviews of recent inspections.

Scroll vertically to browse days.

The inspection card

Each card shows the essential elements:

  • Streetview image of the property (or custom photo if you uploaded one from the web app).
  • Inspection number (e.g. INS-20260504-033-1) at the top, in yellow.
  • Full address (with ellipsis if too long).
  • Client name or “No client” if no contact is linked.
  • Date · time (e.g. “May 7, 2026 · 15:00”).
  • Status chip on the right, color-coded:
    • In progress (light green) — inspection started, not finished.
    • Draft (yellow) — inspection prepared but not started.
    • Green checkmark — all captures are synchronized.

Tap the card to open the inspection’s detail.

The inspection detail

On tap of a card, you access the detail screen:

  • Header: back arrow + “Inspection” + sync indicator (green / orange / airplane dot depending on state).
  • Image of the property in large format with status chip overlaid.
  • Project title (often the full address).
  • Inspection number in yellow.
  • Full address + date · time (pin and calendar icons).
  • Full web view ↗ link — opens the inspection in the Lumos tab for full detail.
  • Two counter cards:
    • To review — number of AI-generated findings awaiting your review.
    • Processing — number of captures being processed by AI, or “Stored, waiting for network” if offline.
  • List of already-processed findings (AI-generated title + photo count + audio icon if voice note + timestamp).
  • Initial state (before any capture): grayed camera icon + “No findings — Tap the + button to capture”.
  • Floating + button orange at the bottom right to start a new capture.

The sync indicator

The small indicator at the top right informs you at a glance about the sync state:

  • Green dot + “Synced” — everything is up to date with the server.
  • Orange dot — sync in progress, or queued.
  • Airplane icon — airplane mode active or no connection detected. Your captures are stored locally and will be synchronized as soon as connection returns.

The idea: you never have to think about it. Sync happens automatically in the background as soon as a connection is available.

The bottom bar always remains visible with three tabs (Inspections, Settings, Lumos). Tap Lumos to switch to the integrated web app if you need web functions (inspection creation, report finalization, full bank) — see Overview for the native/web split details.

To start a capture

Once on an inspection’s detail, tap the floating + button orange at the bottom. The multimedia capture flow starts. See Multimedia capture.
